Court records say police found him after a reckless driving report and that he'd been drinking in Grimes before driving toward Waukee. School officials have not yet said if he'll coach this week's season opener.

• Centennial, Ankeny set lofty goals for high school football season (kcci.com) — Ankeny High's football team opens its season this Friday with a road game at Waukee Northwest, where the Hawks' inexperienced offense will lean on a confident, veteran defense.
