Local standout Addison Latta of Waukee Northwest is also chasing her second straight singles title in Class 2A, giving Waukee fans a hometown contender to follow closely.
   

• BEAT continue the King Crimson vibes • MUSICFESTNEWS (musicfestnews.com) — Waukee is on the itinerary for BEAT, the supergroup featuring former King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin, along with Steve Vai and drummer Terry Bozzio. Their North American tour stops at Vibrant Music Hall on October 18, giving local progressive rock fans a rare chance to hear classic King Crimson material performed live close to home.
