• Police Captain's mentorship leads to $2,500 donation for youth program (communitynewspapergroup.com) — A Waverly Police captain’s mentoring experience helped secure a $2,500 donation for All In Mentoring, which currently serves about 75 students in Waverly, Denver, and Janesville schools. Funded by the Bremer County Peace Officers Association, the gift will support mentor training, background checks, and activities, while local officers encourage more residents to volunteer so the program can grow into additional schools.
