Joni Ernst presents Small Business Award to Boone River Financial Friday (freemanjournal.net) — Webster City’s Boone River Financial has been named Hamilton County’s Small Business of the Week, with U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst visiting Friday to present an official Senate document at their Second Street office. Ernst praised the Hejliks and other Webster City businesses during National Small Business Week, highlighting the vital role small firms play in Iowa’s economy. 
• Work continues at Fuller Hall to correct drainage problems (freemanjournal.net) — City crews in Webster City are digging along the west side of Fuller Hall to fix drainage that’s been leaking into the basement weight room. Workers are installing tile under the soil to redirect rainwater away from the building and will replant grass on the west and south sides once the project is finished.
