• Over 12,000 in central Iowa without power amid Tuesday night storms (weareiowa.com) — Windsor Heights residents were among the hardest hit by Tuesday night’s thunderstorms, with nearly a thousand customers losing power as outages peaked across the Des Moines metro. MidAmerican Energy reported more than 16,000 customers affected at one point, including significant disruptions in Ankeny and Des Moines, before numbers began to drop later in the evening.
