• Fire at vacant house in Winfield Friday is considered suspicious officials say (cowleypost.com) — A suspicious fire damaged a vacant house in Winfield Friday morning, and Arkansas City firefighters were among the crews called in to help knock it down. No one was found inside and no injuries were reported, but investigators are still working with Winfield police to determine what started the blaze and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
