• Cultivate Church of Clay Center Offering Free Haircuts At Block Party (kclyradio.com) — Families in Clay Center can head to Cultivate Church’s block party on August 8 from 4–8 p.m., where kids can get free back-to-school haircuts on a first-come basis. With about five beauticians aiming for 75 cuts plus games, a bouncy house, and VBS activities, the church hopes to ease school jitters and show local students they’re cared for.
