• Evergy breaks ground on natural gas plant in Sumner County (kwch.com) — A new Evergy natural gas power plant is coming directly to Conway Springs, bringing a more than $1 billion investment in local infrastructure, jobs, and tax revenue. Ground was just broken on the Chisholm Trail Energy Center, which is expected to begin operating by 2029 and serve Kansas communities’ growing energy needs for about 40 years.
