• Gardner data center plan withdrawn (iolaregister.com subscription) — A proposed 300-acre data center in Gardner has been dropped after city officials said they would not offer incentives, halting a project neighbors strongly opposed. Residents packed Monday’s Gardner City Council meeting to voice concerns, and many nearby homeowners now say they’re relieved while city leaders pledge to keep pursuing “responsible” economic development.
