ā¢ Don Rati (blogspot.com) ā Girard is noted as the place where Donald Roy Rati married Mae Irene Snow in 1972, tying his life story to the community. The longtime railroad worker and Pittsburg resident later retired early, traveled widely, and eventually settled in North Carolina, where he passed away in his sleep on July 30. He is survived by family in North Carolina and Indiana.
