• $2.4 million going to support Kansas survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault (ksn.com) — Junction City’s Crisis Center Domestic Violence Task Force is receiving $13,524 from new federal Violence Against Women Act grants, part of more than $2.4 million coming to Kansas. The money will bolster victim services, legal help, and specialized law enforcement units statewide. Local survivors and their families can expect stronger support and crisis resources close to home. 
• Wichita man killed Thursday in semi crash in Geary County (wibw.com) — A Wichita man died Thursday evening when his semi rolled on westbound I-70 just two miles west of Junction City, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. The truck left the roadway, entered a ditch, then overturned and came to rest on its top. Authorities say the 41-year-old driver was alone in the vehicle and was wearing a seat belt.
