• Red Cross Facing Emergency Blood Shortage (ksal.com) — Kiowa residents can help ease a serious Red Cross blood shortage by donating at the Kiowa Community Building on August 7 from noon to 6 p.m. The nationwide supply, especially platelets and some blood types, has dropped sharply, and donors who give between July 13–31 will receive a Fandango movie ticket by email as a thank-you.
