Council members also revised retiree health insurance rules, generally ending city plan eligibility at Medicare age while grandfathering current retirees and spouses. 
• Banana Ball Salina Connection (ksal.com) — A Lindsborg-based umpire, Brian Bengston, helped officiate recent Banana Ball games at Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium, giving the touring spectacle a local connection. Alongside a former Kansas Wesleyan pitcher and other Kansas umpires, he took part in a high-profile series featuring the Savannah Bananas and Indianapolis Clowns that celebrates baseball history and showmanship.
