• Headlines for Wednesday, April 15, 2026 (kansaspublicradio.org) — A lightning strike during Monday night’s storms sparked a fire at the Lyndon post office, causing significant smoke damage but only minimal structural harm and no injuries. The same storm system also brought an EF-2 tornado to Miami and Franklin counties and baseball-sized hail to Osage County, while other statewide headlines ranged from a Topeka-area shooting to a new Kansas education commissioner.
