Lenexa officers described a 129-mph chase, the suspects’ crashed Jeep near Mission, and tense moments inside the store’s restrooms just before and after the gunfire.

• Johnson County announces transit schedule for World Cup (fox4kc.com) — Mission residents will have direct bus connections to World Cup action thanks to Johnson County’s new United Link routes, which include Mission among seven connected cities. During June and July, shuttles will run frequently between local hubs, the airport, and regional transit links serving stadium matches and fan events, offering day, weekly, and full-tournament passes.
