Busted on Tape: Gardner KS Detective Caught Stealing US Court Documents Post Office, Voids Arrest Complaint
Viral videos on social media explode as Gardner KS detective faces federal, state and internal affairs investigations
The Gardner Police Department is at the center of a growing firestorm after leaked audio clips went viral on TikTok and Facebook. The recordings reveal Gardner Detective Tianna Macias-Odle admitting to an unauthorized, out-of-jurisdiction raid, illegal search and seizure on the Gardner Post Office and then the detectives failed attempt to cover it up.
What’s on the Audio?
According to the leaked recordings, the incident took place on August 15, 2025. On the tape, the detective reportedly admits to:
- Unauthorized Seizure: Entering the post office and taking federal mail—specifically, U.S. District Court pleadings from Case 2:23-CV-02536—without a judicial warrant or even an open case.
- Covering Her Tracks: Voiding a police complaint (GPD Report 2502734) that revealed she was the individual who took protected US Mail along with help from a USPS postal worker K.J. Bryan. Retrievals of public records confirms the existence of the voided police report terminated by Macias-Odle herself. Again, the detective is heard on audio and seen in official emails admitting to voiding out GPD RPT 2502734 on October 16, 2025.
The Fallout
Because tampering with federal mail is a major felony offense, the backlash was instant. Three separate entities are now investigating the matter:

- Gardner Internal Affairs: Led by Sgt. J. Marshall, an internal probe was launched on June 10, 2026.
- Kansas Attorney General: Investigating potential state and ethical violations.
- Office of the Inspector General (OIG): Stepping in due to the breach of federal postal jurisdiction.
The Big Question: As the videos rack up views, local residents and constitutional advocates are demanding accountability, with many asking if local citizens can truly trust law enforcement to uphold the law.
The recordings reveal Detective Macias-Odle's failed attempt to falsely charge an innocent Gardner man of a fake domestic violence crime.
