Loved for her Halloween gatherings, gardening, and warm spirit, she will be celebrated at a June 13 visitation in nearby Parker. Friends and relatives from Paola and surrounding towns are welcome to attend.
   

• Jane 'Janie' Ball (johnsoncountypost.com) — Paola readers are remembering Jane “Janie” Ball, who cherished her tight-knit childhood growing up in Paola before a long career in education across Kansas. The 76-year-old Olathe resident, devoted mother, grandmother, and beloved school principal, passed away May 18, with a celebration of life service to be announced later.
