Two under arrest on narcotics charges in Pittsburg (newstalkkzrg.com) — Pittsburg police and state investigators executed a search warrant Monday morning at a home on West Mead Street, leading to two local residents being jailed on multiple narcotics-related charges. Authorities say the methamphetamine investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact the Pittsburg Police Department or anonymous tip line.

Pitt State students create Spanish library to serve Pittsburg community (koamnewsnow.com) — Pittsburg residents now have a new way to explore Spanish language and culture thanks to a free “Pequeña Biblioteca” installed at the Literary Cat Company downtown. Created by two Pittsburg State students, the take-a-book, leave-a-book library aims to support Spanish speakers and curious learners alike, with a campus organization committed to keeping its shelves fresh year-round.

Much ado about buses and sirens (morningsun.net) — Bus service in Pittsburg is at risk of major cutbacks unless new local funding is found by mid-June, potentially leaving only limited routes operating. Wichita addiction recovery provider says $4 million grant is ‘major step' (ksn.com) — Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg is set to receive about $682,000 from a new statewide rural health grant program, part of more than $4 million awarded to a Wichita addiction recovery provider. The funding aims to expand behavioral and mental health services across rural Kansas, which could improve access to care for residents in and around Pittsburg.
