Both called for unity afterward, with Robinson saying he wanted the city to “keep healing” and Selders urging him to bring residents together.

Investigators consider the fire accidental and traced its origin to a workbench area, though the exact cause remains undetermined.

A single gas station in cities throughout Johnson County had the cheapest midgrade gas in week ending Oct. 31 (jocotoday.com) — Johnson County's lowest reported midgrade gas price was $3.80 a gallon for the week ending Oct. 31, compared with a county average of $4.28. The GasBuddy comparison includes Prairie Village, but these customer-reported cash prices are a snapshot rather than a guarantee of what drivers will pay now.
4. Johnson County city adopts e-scooter rules after child deaths prompted safety reviews (kansascity.com) — Leawood will introduce new e-bike and e-scooter rules Dec. 15, joining Prairie Village and other cities with regulations already in place. The changes follow safety reviews prompted by two children's deaths and include a 15 mph limit on sidewalks, paths and trails, plus helmet requirements for riders under 18.
