• Woman, 19, killed when SUV hits semitrailer Monday crash in Reno County (wibw.com) — A 19-year-old Hutchinson woman died after the SUV she was riding in hit a legally parked semitrailer along K-96, about three miles south of South Hutchinson Monday afternoon. Kansas Highway Patrol says both occupants were wearing seat belts; the driver, also 19 and from Hutchinson, suffered suspected minor injuries. The crash closed part of a key route many South Hutchinson residents travel.
