• LaVerne Stika (marionrecord.com) — Tampa readers are remembering LaVerne D. Stika, born on a farm near Tampa and a 1959 Tampa High School graduate, who died July 29 at age 84. His life spanned farming, trucking, and technical work, and he leaves family in Tampa and across Kansas, with memorials supporting a lineman scholarship fund.
