Residents should expect years of changing traffic patterns and some headaches, but officials say the project will ultimately separate through‑traffic from local drivers and keep the existing bridge in service.

All winners, finalists for 2026 Cincinnati High School Sports Awards (cincinnati.com) — Covington Catholic athletes and coaches are prominently featured among the winners and finalists for the 2026 Cincinnati High School Sports Awards, honoring standout spring athletes across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Several CovCath students earn individual awards and Courage recognition, and the soccer coach is a Coach of the Year finalist. The free awards show takes place June 16 at Princeton High School.

Howard Requardt Obituary in Newport at NKyTribune (nkytribune.com) — Covington readers are remembering 100-year-old Howard Requardt, born and raised in Covington before settling in Edgewood, whose life of military service, family devotion, travel, and church involvement touched many in Northern Kentucky. Visitation and funeral services are set for Friday, June 5, at Immanuel Methodist Church in Lakeside Park, followed by burial with military honors at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
