• LG&E and KU stations continue to support peregrine nesting (madisoncourier.com) — Peregrine falcons are thriving at KU’s Ghent Generating Station, where 79 chicks have been banded since 1999 and two more were tagged this spring. Partnering with state wildlife officials, LG&E and KU use nest boxes on power plants, including Ghent, to help rebuild Kentucky’s small falcon population while employees and residents follow along via a live falcon cam.
