• Butterfly tagged in Kentucky makes it all the way to Mexico (wcvb.com) — A monarch butterfly tagged in Highland Heights has been confirmed to complete a 1,600-mile journey to a sanctuary in Mexico, a first for the Queen City Pollinator Project. The community science effort, led locally by co-founder Carrie Haubner, helps track monarch migration routes and supports conservation as monarch populations have dropped about 80% in 20 years.
