North Elm Street shooting suspect booked into Christian County Jail, charged with assault (christiancountynow.com) — Hopkinsville police have arrested a suspect in Sunday’s North Elm Street shooting at Mason Pointe Apartments, where a man in his early 30s was critically injured. The woman, identified as Annia Williams, was booked into Christian County Jail early Tuesday and is charged with first-degree assault after Crime Stoppers highlighted the case and sought community tips.

2. 1 charged after allegedly hitting vehicle in front of Christian County Sheriff's office - WNKY News 40 Television (wnky.com) — A Sunday afternoon crash on West Seventh Street in Hopkinsville sent one driver to Jennie Stuart Health and led to DUI and other charges for the other driver, according to police. Officers say the wreck happened in front of the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, and the truck driver allegedly left the scene before being found on Sanderson Drive.

Amy Craig announces resignation from Hopkinsville City Council (christiancountynow.com) — Hopkinsville’s Ward 5 council seat will open June 16 as longtime Councilmember Amy Craig steps down, after being honored with a key to the city. The city will soon release an expedited application timeline, and whoever is chosen will serve through 2026 before the November election winner takes over.

Hoppers hold off Paducah, remain undefeated (whopam.com) — Hopkinsville’s Hoptown Hoppers stayed undefeated with a 10–5 home win over the Paducah Chiefs at Tiger Field, highlighted by clutch pitching and defense from former Christian County standout Gage Montes. The team used a big early offensive surge and late insurance runs to hold off a Chiefs comeback and keep first place in the league standings.
