1. Net Profit License Fee Changes Coming To Hopkinsville (whvoradio.com) — Hopkinsville is cutting its Net Profit License Fee rate from 1.5% to 1.3% and lowering the minimum fee for many businesses starting July 1, 2026. Smaller operations grossing $25,000 or less will now pay a $25 processing fee, and the city is rolling out new forms and outreach so local owners and tax preparers can adjust before the first July 15 deadline. 
2. Several injured in Greenville Road collision (whopam.com) — A weekend collision on Greenville Road near Frog Hop Road injured three people, including a Hopkinsville woman and two Greenville residents. One driver was flown to a Nashville hospital and another passenger taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, while the Hopkinsville driver later sought treatment on her own. Deputies say sun glare may have contributed, but everyone was wearing seat belts.
3. Braves Use Warrior Miscues to Take 14-4 Win (yoursportsedge.com) — Heritage Christian Academy’s baseball team struggled at home in Hopkinsville on Tuesday, committing seven errors in a 14-4, five-inning loss to Union County. The Warriors briefly clawed back with runs in the third and fourth, but a seven-run fifth by the Braves, all scored with two outs, put the game out of reach despite solid hitting from several HCA players.
4. KYTC Reveals Story Map For Potential I-24 Improvements (wpkyonline.com) — Regional transportation officials recently met in Hopkinsville to review a new online “story map” outlining possible I-24 improvements that could affect Christian County drivers. The long-range plan explores widening the interstate, replacing major river bridges, and upgrading key exits, including some in Christian County, as traffic and crash numbers continue to climb toward 2050.
