⢠Jefferson County Sheriff's Office dispatchers honored during Telecommunicators Week (wlky.com) â Middletown residentsâ 911 calls are handled by Jefferson County Sheriffâs Office telecommunicators, who dispatch for suburban departments that Louisville Metro doesnât cover. During Telecommunicators Week, the unit is being recognized for managing more than 66,000 calls last year and is actively seeking new hires to keep up with demand.
