• Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision on the Cumberland Parkway in Russell County (wvlc.com) — Russell Springs residents were involved in a deadly two-vehicle crash Tuesday on the Cumberland Parkway in Russell County, where 60-year-old Maylon Brown died and 28-year-old Christopher Austin was arrested on DUI and related charges. Kentucky State Police say Austin’s westbound car reentered the roadway and collided with Brown’s vehicle, and the case remains under investigation.
   

• Delila Christine Russell, age 41, of Russell Springs (lakercountry.com) — Russell Springs is mourning the loss of 41-year-old Delila Christine Russell, a local mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother with many family ties in town and nearby communities. A graveside service is set for Wednesday, June 3 at 3 p.m. CT at Bethel Cemetery in Jamestown, where friends and family can pay their respects.
