• ‘I had to hurt someone to get away': Man arrested after woman found stabbed in Shively apartment (wave3.com) — Shively residents should know police have arrested a man on an attempted murder charge after a woman was stabbed Monday at the San Jose Court Apartments. The victim is expected to survive after treatment at UofL Hospital, and officers say they later found the suspect on Rockford Lane, where he allegedly admitted hurting someone and surrendered two pocket knives.
   

• NC lobbyists indicted on charges of giving gifts to NC lawmakers over whiskey tours (wral.com) — A high-profile North Carolina lobbying case includes a 2024 bourbon tour stop at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Shively where lawmakers allegedly received improper gifts.
