Baton Rouge Mayor Broome Announces Opening Of Second MOHSEP Drive-Thru Testing Site

The site will operate Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. as supplies allow. The schedule may be adjusted based on demand.

BATON ROUGE, La. – April 22, 2020 – Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome announced Wednesday the opening of a second Mayor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (MOHSEP) COVID-19 Community Testing Site at Our Lady of the Lake North Campus, 5439 Airline Highway. The site will operate Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. as supplies allow. The schedule may be adjusted based on demand.

Like the other drive-thru testing site at Baton Rouge General Mid City, patients do not have to pay up front for a test, ensuring no financial barriers. Patients can also seek a physician’s order at Our Lady of the Lake North Campus. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms should call ahead before visiting a healthcare provider.

The MOHSEP Community Testing site at Baton Rouge General Mid City continues to operate on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The schedule may be adjusted based on demand.

Patients must have a physician’s order to receive a test at either site. The order must be faxed to the appropriate testing site.
