Mayor Broome Announces Food Distribution With The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank

Baton Rouge, La. – August 5, 2020 – Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank will host a food distribution on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Food donation boxes will be distributed for up to 1,500 families beginning at 9 a.m. — while supplies last.

The food distribution is intended to provide nutritious foods to East Baton Rouge Parish residents facing increased food insecurity due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Residents who plan to attend the food distribution should go to 9301 Cortana Place, Baton Rouge. Participants are encouraged to arrive early. Face coverings are required.
