BATON ROUGE, La. — April 28, 2020 — Financial advisor Suze Orman will serve as a special guest contributor for the final installment of Mayor Broome’s Financial Literacy Online Workshop series this Thursday.

Orman is a #1 New York Times bestselling author, magazine and online columnist, writer, producer, motivational speaker, podcast host and nationally recognized personal financial advisor. Orman served as a contributing editor for Oprah’s “O” Magazine and the Costco Connection Magazine for 16 and 18 years, respectively. She is a recipient of eight Gracie Awards for The Suze Orman Show, which aired for 13 years.

The final webinar installment is entitled "Assessing Spending Habits During COVID-19 and Beyond, A New Normal for Money Management." This workshop will provide a summary of information from the first five webinars while also addressing the changing spending habits of consumers during the coronavirus pandemic. The workshop focuses on shopping habits, credit card purchases, accessing free credit reports, and advice for managing life on a new budget.
