• Church Point Police looking for suspect in July 31 shooting (klfy.com) — Church Point police are searching for 21-year-old Dezryn Tyrell Freeman after a July 31 shooting on Richard Circle off West Keller Street, where a man was shot during an alleged robbery attempt. Investigators believe Freeman is still in the Church Point area and urge anyone with information to contact Church Point Police or Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers immediately.
   

• Qualifying starts tomorrow for November election: What's on your ballot?
