• Jennings man pleads guilty in 2022 shooting that left father paralyzed (kplctv.com) — A Jennings man has pleaded guilty to a 2022 roadside shooting on La. 26 that left a local father of three paralyzed from the waist down. He now faces decades in prison after a high-speed chase, missed trial date, and eventual rearrest, with sentencing set for December 9.
   

• PHMSA investigates 16-in. gas pipeline rupture in Louisiana (undergroundinfrastructure.com) — A gas transmission pipeline ruptured and caught fire just outside Jennings, forcing the brief evacuation of about 20 nearby homes and closure of part of U.S. 90 before crews contained the leak. No injuries were reported, and federal regulators are now investigating what caused the failure and whether further safety measures are needed.
