The Adult Education Program at Delgado Community College (DCCAEP) is excited to release
a new and improved registration experience for prospective students. Starting in July
2021, the online registration form will be shorter, and all new students can be paired
with a success coach who can help with completing the full enrollment process.

“In looking at our program data over the last three years, we found a clear trend
and opportunity for improvement: over 70% of students that enroll in a class are showing
skill gains as measured by TABE pre and post-tests. But, there are a significant number
of students that aren’t completing the full registration process in order to enroll
in their first class,” said Dr. Jancarlos Wagner Romero, Director of Adult Education.

“In response to that analysis, we’ve revised and improved our intake process to simplify
the experience for students while also making available new kinds of support to help
make it easier for anyone to enroll in our free classes.”

About the Adult Education Program

The Adult Education Program at Delgado Community College is a free program available
to any adult in the Greater New Orleans area looking to build academic and professional
skills. Courses are available in four pathways:

Due to the ongoing public health emergency, DCCAEP has moved to fully online instruction
but will be reopening campuses starting in August 2021.
