• Loreauville, Franklin shipyards win contract to build $40M drone boats for U.S. Navy (klfy.com) — Loreauville's Breaux Brothers shipyard has been tapped to help build new unmanned surface vessels for the U.S. Navy, a contract worth about $40 million per boat. Production is set to begin soon in Loreauville, Franklin, and Houma, with deliveries expected as early as late 2027, bringing significant long-term work and investment into the local marine industry.
