JEFFERSON, LA – The Jefferson Parish Administration is proposing rate increases to begin in 2022 in order to help fund vital improvements to Jefferson Parish’s aging water and sewer infrastructure. Without additional funding, the systems will no longer be able to provide the level of service that Jefferson Parish residents expect. This will be a vote by the Jefferson Parish Council, which will take place at the August 25th Council Meeting.

Jefferson Parish will host two informational sessions – on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021 from 6 – 7 p.m. at the Joseph S. Yenni Building (2nd Floor Council Chambers), located at 1221 Elmwood Park Blvd. in Harahan, and Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021 from 6 – 7 p.m. at the Jefferson Parish General Government Building (2nd floor Council Chambers), located at 200 Derbigny St. in Gretna . Both sessions will also be streamed live on JPTV and www.JeffParish.TV/Live for residents who want to tune in virtually.
