Bossier City woman arrested after defendant misses Webster Parish trial (press-herald.com) — Minden police say a Bossier City woman drove a defendant away from the Webster Parish courthouse, leading to his missed jury trial and her arrest as an alleged accessory after the fact. Officers tracked the car from downtown Minden toward Bossier City, later stopping it back in Minden and questioning the driver about conflicting travel details and the defendant’s whereabouts. 
2. Make a splash this summer at the Minden Rec Center (websterparishjournal.com) — Minden Recreation Center is opening summer swim lesson registration, with a free week of classes May 26–30 for first-time youth who live within city limits. The City of Minden is also hiring lifeguards, while state health officials stress that most child drownings are preventable with close supervision and proper water safety.
