Here are the top stories in New Orleans today:
- New Orleans police are currently searching for missing man who was last seen wearing hospital scrubs on Christmas Eve. 27-year-old Joseph Staehle was reported missing from the 7th district on Hayne Boulevard around 1 pm. NOPD is asking for the public help in locating his whereabouts. (WDSU New Orleans)
- Days away from 2023, 2022's violent crime rates continue to rise and this holiday weekend was no exception. From Friday to Monday, there were three shootings, four murders and four robberies. The city's major crime dashboard shows an increase in areas across the city in murder numbers from this time last year. (WWLTV.com)
- A winter storm sweeping across the U.S. has left many travelers stranded, including many at Louis Armstrong Airport. As of 8 AM on the 27th, only 5 out of the 43 Southwest Airlines flights are arriving on time. Many travelers won't be able to get a new flight for days. (WWLTV)
