Here are the top stories in New Orleans today:
- Two were injured and one was killed in a Carrollton Avenue shooting on Saturday morning. Police responded to a call at 2:30 in the morning reporting a shooting at Willow street. Officers arrived on scene to find three men inside a vehicle who were suffering from gunshot wounds. Two were taken to the hospital for treatment and one man was pronounced dead at the scene. - Despite multiple efforts from civil rights activists, a judge has ruled that youth inmates from the Bridge City Center for Youth can be transferred to Angola as a part of Governor Edwards' controversial plan to house high-risk inmates while the center is remodeled. (WDSU New Orleans)
- In the second incident this week, a rape was reported on St. Charles Avenue on Thursday. NOPD received a call where a witness reportable saw someone being sexually assaulted at 2:40 pm. (WDSU New Orleans)
