First, today's weather:
A stray afternoon t-storm. High: 91 Low: 78.
Here are the top three stories today in New Orleans:
- The tax fraud trial of New Orleans DA, Jason Williams, finished up its first week with plans to transition into a second. The judge expressed that they would like the trial to conclude this coming week, with the respective attorneys of Williams and his ex-wife finishing up testimonies with the IRS agent who initially flagged the case. (WDSU New Orleans)
- NOPD began investigating a quadruple shooting early Sunday morning in Central City. Four men were walking along Andrew Street around 12:30 a.m. and when all four sustained gunshot wounds to the body. A potential suspect or motive to the crime remains unclear. (WGNO New Orleans)
- The interim Orleans Parish School Board member, Lelia Eames, who was appointed to the position in march after another member resigned, now has two challengers for the election of the next full term to represent New Orleans East. Patrice Section and Deidra Louis have both qualified for the race.

- The Salvation Army is getting started with it's summer initiatives and is anticipating needing more school supplies and new bikes this coming fall. (NOLA.com)
- St. Tammany's "Be Well Bus" is bringing mobile mammograms to women right where they live in the North Shore. The bus will be stopping at varying locations across the parish through August. (NOLA.com)
- The New Orleans electronic musician and producer, Vela Vada, has just launches their debut album Borrowed Ladders. (New Orleans Magazine)
