Police responded to the first shooting around 5:30 p.m. in the Seventh Ward where a man was shot multiple times and declared dead after being transported to a hospital. The second shooting took place at 8 p.m. in the West Bank where two people were injured. Then, just a block away around the same time, another victim was shot when a suspect's car drove up and began firing into a vehicle. The next shooting took place in Bywater where a middle-aged female victim was shot in the chest. The final shooting and second homicide was in New Orleans East when a woman was fatally shot and pronounced dead at the scene. (WGNO New Orleans)
