🌱 Robber Forces Employees Into Freezer + Bridge City Inmate Transfer

Hi all. I'm back in your inbox this morning with your new edition of the New Orleans Daily. Let's get this Friday started off right, with a quick dive into everything you need to know about what's going on in town. Today you'll find news about these stories and more:

Here are the top stories in New Orleans today:

  1. A group of employees were held at gunpoint and forced into a freezer during an armed robbery in Central City on Monday. The suspect, an unknown armed woman, entered the New Orleans business on South Claiborne just after 8 pm and went behind the counter and forced five employees into the freezer then demanded the manager to open a safe which she then took money from and fled the scene. (WKRG News 5)
  2. A 15-year-old and a 13-year-old have been arrested after being accused of bringing guns to a football game at Joe Brown Park. Seventh District officers found that the 15-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl found them to be in possession of an illegal handgun on Wednesday around 6:30 pm and the suspects were taken to the Juvenile Justice Center and booked.   3. The first phase of transferring juvenile inmates from the Bridge City Youth Center to different facilities across the state has been completed. Despite the efforts of many local civil rights groups, there are now 4 out of the 18 juveniles housed in Angola for the time being. (WDSU New Orleans)
