Here are the top stories in New Orleans today:
- Eviction hearings have been postponed through the end of next week after a fire earlier this week in the New Orleans First City Court caused the facility to close. You can visit the New Orleans' SCDC website for more updates on the closure. (WWLTV.com)
- Voting on a proposal for a bus rapid transit between NOLA's East and West banks has been delayed by a City Council committee who is worried that the new bus lanes could create more traffic around the city instead of solving it. The process is still ongoing, and no major decisions have been made, but City Council is awaiting analysis from the RTA. (WWNO)
- After being paused, pending an investigation, the New Orleans nonprofit, Forward Together, started by Mayor LaToya Cantrell repaid the city over $1 million in late January after an investigation froze their spending and programs. (WDSU New Orleans)
