Here are the top stories in New Orleans today:
- Louisiana has added eight more days to its recreational red snapper season after the end of season revealed it had a larger red snapper population than anticipated. The limit is four fish a day for adequately licensed anglers, a big step up from the three-a day-limit that was only open on weekends. (WBRZ)
- Residents of two blocks of Brunswick Court in Algiers are frustrated after being forced to change their addresses after the City of New Orleans has claimed it as a public safety concern. The house numbers are out of sync which would allegedly affect emergency response times, but residents are irritated after having to go through all different kinds of change-of-address forms. (WDSU New Orleans)
- Cameras have been installed at the two Jefferson Parish railroad crossings to help mitigate inconvenience for commuters. You can now check the live feed at the Jefferson Parish website to save yourself a headache and a detour. (WGNO New Orleans)
Patch deal of the day:

Shipping isn't cheap at $39.95, but that still comes out to just over $6 per bottle. Splash Wines has a money-back guarantee if you don't like the wine and 4.6 out of 5 rating on TrustPilot.
