Here are the top three stories today in New Orleans:
- Flood advisory and street closures took effect Friday across the New Orleans Metro area as summer storms rolled through. The city of New Orleans is allowing neutral ground parking until 9 a.m. today and has closed multiple streets to keep residents safe. (WDSU New Orleans)
- As the New Orleans DA Jason Williams' tax fraud trial intensifies, multiple witnesses were called to the stand to testify including Williams' ex-wife who revealed in her testimony accounts of finding "lots of cash" in a safe in Williams' office space while the couple was together. - Two men were left hospitalized on Friday morning from separate shooting incidents. NOPD began investigating the two shootings at 4 a.m. in Iberville and about 4:45 a.m. in Central City. The first man was shot while riding in a vehicle and the second was shot during an argument with a suspect. (WGNO New Orleans)
