Hello there, New Orleans! I'm here in your inbox per usual to get you up to speed on everything you need to know about what's going on in town.I'll get right to it.
First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories in New Orleans today:
- NOPD responded to two shootings across New Orleans on Friday night. The first shooting resulted in a death when a man was shot on Toledo Street around 7:30 p.m. and was found suffering from a gunshot wound in front of a residence. The second shooting occurred on Tulane Avenue where a female victim was shot and taken to the hospital for treatment. (WDSU New Orleans)
- Governor Edwards has announced plans to transfer more juvenile offenders to Angola, not just the offenders currently housed at the Bridge City Youth Center. Edwards claims that all violent juvenile offenders across Louisiana are being considered but only the most violent ones will be moved to Angola, though the majority of violent offenders reside at Bridge City. - A 16-year-old girl has been missing since September 7 after leaving school in ride-share vehicle. Kaniya Hunt is currently considered a runaway but has not been seen or heard from since she left in the vehicle. (FOX 8 Local First)
