🌱 Large Harbor Fire + Three Sunday Night Shootings

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in New Orleans.

Morning, everybody! Shannon Denney here with your Tuesday edition of the New Orleans Daily. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about what's happening in town, including updates on:

  • City Park Carousel robbed
  • Seabrook Harbor and Marine fire
  • Sunday night shootings

But first, today's weather:

Here are the top stories today in New Orleans:

  1. The City Park Carousel was burglarized on Saturday. A suspect was allegedly seen with the special brass tubing that is specific to the carousel at a recycling center by a City Park maintenance worker who discovered that property and parts had been stolen from the carousel. (WDSU New Orleans)
  2. A three alarm fire broke out in Seabrook Harbor and Marine on Sunday destroyed a building and five boats and damaged many more. The fire started just before 5:45 am though its cause is currently unknown. It took a total of 21 NOFD unites to get the fire under control. (FOX8LIVE)
  3. Three were injured and one killed in a string of three shootings on Sunday night. The first shooting occurred at the intersection of Franklin Ave and North Tonti Street just after 9 pm and injure a male victim who was taken to the hospital. The second shooting was on North Claiborne Ave around 12 am where a man and woman were both shot. The final shooting occurred sometime around 2 am and claimed the life of one victim, a man, who was found dead at the scene on North Carrolton Ave. (WDSU)
