🌱 Lee Circle Officially Renamed + Illegal Car Shows Press Conference

NOLA Councilmember Eugene Green held a press conference on Friday to address the trend of impromptu illegal car shows seen cropping up across Gentilly in recent weeks. In a previous issued statement, Green called on residents to be diligent about reporting the car stunts to NOPD as soon as possible to help curb the trend. (WDSU New Orleans)
The monument site to Robert E. Lee that was taken down by the City five years ago, formerly known as "Lee Circle" has finally been officially renamed. City Council has voted to call the grassy patch around the former monument "Harmony Circle" and the road area around it "Tivoli Circle". "Harmony" was selected in an effort to celebrate New Orleans's diversity and Tivoli comes from the circle's original name before the Lee monument was erected in the 1800s. (WWLTV.com)
