Here are the top stories today in New Orleans:

  1. Six people were shot, leaving two killed in an overnight mass shooting in the Lower 9th Ward on Monday. At 12:30 am on December 26, first responders found victims at a large gathering on St. Maurice Street. Two victims were taken to the hospital by EMS, two were taken by a private vehicle and two were declared dead at the scene. (FOX 8 Local First)
  2. A heavy cloud of smoker covered New Orleans East on Monday afternoon from a massive car fire that broke out around 3 PM. Two trucks and a pile of tires were illegally dumped before being set on fire. Multiple firetrucks were called to the scene to extinguish the flames. (WBRZ)
  3. New Orleans Comedian, Brandon Montrell, or 'Boogie B', was killed by a stray bullet Friday evening in the Rouses parking lot on Baronne Street. Police are currently searching for two unidentified suspects and a person of interest to seek justice. (WWLTV)
