🌱 Monday Stabbing In Tulane-Gravier + NOPD Slow Response Times

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in New Orleans.

Morning, New Orleans! Here's everything you need to know to get this Wednesday started off right.

First, today's weather:

Nice with plenty of sun. High: 79 Low: 63.

Here are the top five stories in New Orleans today:

  1. NOPD is currently investigating after a 44-year-old man was stabbed to death on Monday night in the Tulane-Gravier area. Officers arrived on Julia Street where they found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. (WDSU New Orleans)
  2. As the problem of NOPD slow response time continues, a Lower Garden District bar was forced to wait 30 minutes for the police to arrive while two women trashed the bar and assaulted their customers. The two assailants were denied service after they didn't have their IDs and began throwing chairs, smashing bottles and attacking the people who were trying to stop them. The woman who called 911 reported that was on hold for 3 minutes as she watched the damage ensue. (FOX 8 Local First)
  3. A man and woman arrived to hospital on Monday with gunshot wounds they received in Little Woods. NOPD is currently investigating the incident while they wait for an update on the victim's conditions. (WDSU New Orleans)
